A full spectrum of counseling professionals is available to assist the employee, their spouse, and family in responding to their employment change. Professional marital or family counseling is provided upon the request of the employee. This counseling provides emotional help to the employee and their family and offers a means to monitor their overall health and adjustment.

An evaluation of the candidate’s personality type, abilities, interests, work values, and barriers to finding employment are provided. RMS has a wide array of tools at it’s disposal that are used in developing a strategic marketing plan for the terminated employee.

Strategic Marketing Plan
Current and long range objectives are developed which are consistent with the assessments results of the candidate’s abilities, interests, the local economy, relocation and flexibility need to be considered in preparing an effective strategic marketing plan. Each employee will be provided an introduction to the job market and both formal and informal job marketing strategies will be detailed.

Resume Presentation
Building on the vocational testing and marketing plan, a number of employment aids are created. These include resumes, cover letters, and professional portfolios. Support services are also available. These include copying services, typing, faxing and postage. “Thank you” and other types of follow-up correspondence are prepared and telephone techniques are rehearsed giving the job seekers a definite competitive edge.

Interview Preparation
A complete training program is designed around the personality and skills of each job candidate. Audio-visual training tapes as well as practice role-plays are used to prepare the candidate for employment interviews. Types of interviews, questions to ask, “Image issues” and follow-up strategies are all planned prior to any interview. Debriefing of each employment interview is also provided to assist the candidate in improving their communication, interpersonal, and interviewing skills.
